Medication Technician

This course is designed to meet the training requirements for becoming qualified to be a Medication Tech. The course will cover the six rights of medication administration for non-licensed personnel.

Topics will include medication administration via the oral, topical and instillation routes, medical asepsis, hand hygiene, terminology, and legal implications.

6-Hour Med Tech Class


The Med Tech certification course provides students with six (6) hours of training regarding proper protocols and procedures to follow as a Med Tech in an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) or in a home health setting.

Students will have immediate access to course materials upon enrollment. All assignments must be completed within a three month time frame.

The Medication aide certification course is an online course that students can complete in days. Course consists of 6 hours of modules that train students in how to pass medications safely.

We strongly suggested this certificate for anyone in the healthcare field such as Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Home Health Aide, Behavioral Health Tech or CNA.
